Design Direction for Financial Media Platform

Role: Product Designer

Overview

The Tokenist is a financial media platform providing news, insights, and analysis for modern investors. I was brought in to define the product’s design direction and shape its visual identity in line with contemporary finance values.

Working closely with the core product team, I developed a consistent brand voice and produced a wide range of design material: landing pages, social media content, ads, investor presentations, and more.

Responsibilities

• Defining product design direction and establishing a cohesive brand voice;
• Conducting design research and presenting insights to the team;
• Designing websites and landing pages, from concept to development handoff;
• Creating visual content including ads, investor brochures, eBooks, and brand guidelines.

Visual Design

The brand design voice I developed aimed to communicate the qualities of modern finance: trust, clarity, and hi-tech innovation. The color palette combined calming pastel tones with bold, brighter accents to create a look that feels both reliable and forward-thinking.

Websites and Landing Pages

I was responsible for creating engaging websites and landing pages to attract new audiences.
I managed the design process from concept to production, collaborating with the front-end team, and assisting in testing and finalizing the designs.

Result

My design work played a key role in growing The Tokenist’s audience and enhancing its market presence. The platform evolved significantly during my time there, expanding its reach and introducing new features for readers.

This role deepened my experience in fintech and helped strengthen both my product thinking and visual storytelling skills.
