Overview

Fortinet, a US-based cybersecurity company, hired me as a freelance designer to support their front-end team by creating visual assets for their website.

My work involved designing a variety of graphic elements, including icons, banners, and ads, that effectively communicated complex cybersecurity concepts through simple and meaningful visual metaphors.

Responsibilities

• Designing and delivering visual assets for the website, including icons, banners, ads, and brochures;
• Creating graphic metaphors in icons to convey complex cybersecurity messages clearly;
• Developing JS animations to enhance the website’s visual appeal and user engagement;
• Collaborating with the front-end team to ensure visual consistency across the website.

Process

Initially hired on Upwork for a small design project, I continued working with Fortinet for several months, assisting the front-end team in completing their website with the necessary visual assets. Throughout the project, I focused on translating complex ideas into simple, effective visuals, while also gaining experience in web animations and JS animation techniques.

Result

My work not only contributed to the successful completion of Fortinet's website but also significantly boosted my skills in visual design and animation. This project marked a valuable milestone in my freelance career, offering me the opportunity to develop my expertise in creating impactful visual metaphors and web animations.
